Which meeting, which date?

APEC is Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation. China’s 2026 host year has events in several cities; the Shenzhen November meetings are one part of that programme.

The host-year theme concerns a shared Asia-Pacific future; its priorities are openness, innovation and cooperation. The CEO Summit has its own programme. City report: theme and CEO Summit ↗

Can a visitor attend?

Meeting dates are not public admission

We have not verified a general-public booking channel for the Leaders’ Meeting or the officials’ meetings. A hotel booking or a visit to Shenzhen does not establish meeting access. Delegates should follow their organiser’s accreditation instructions.

CEO Summit: an official application route exists

A September notice described company pre-registration with a 17 September deadline, which has passed. The organiser still links an application portal; this alone does not establish that new applications are currently accepted or that an applicant will be admitted.

CCPIT says invitations and registration are handled through its official channels and the summit website. Verify any current opening directly there. Read the organiser’s attendance statement ↗

Public activities and exhibitions

No separate APEC public-activity booking has been verified for this guide. Ordinary city attractions are listed below; they are not presented as APEC-affiliated events. For a new event, confirm the organiser, date, venue, public eligibility and registration page before making a special journey.

How could it affect a city visit?

Dated guidance, not a live closure map

The city’s 15 October briefing describes phased traffic measures and encourages public transport. This page has not verified every subsequent road notice.

Plan a metro journey and check the final walk to your destination. Keep flexibility around timed appointments and road transfers; check whether the exact street, entrance or venue is affected before departure.

The briefing also announced additional transit capacity and meeting-period fare reductions. Exact applicability and dates should be confirmed before budgeting around a discount. Flexible working arrangements are not a blanket public holiday.

Your day-before check

  1. Look for a current notice naming your exact road, venue and travel time.
  2. Check the metro journey and final walking approach.
  3. Confirm opening and admission at the attraction itself.
  4. Save a second plan and your hotel address in Chinese.
